Surveillance pigeon drones, level design, Telestrations, mobile dev, monster bartending, & more.

Get an inside look at some of my past game projects that I worked on as a part of USC games as well as Nerd Ninjas. I have worked in game design, UI/UX, and production for various projects, allowing me to have a holistic view of the game development process. It is always a blast turning wacky ideas into fun experiences, so if you have the time, take a spin and play some of the games!

Game Development

Birds Aren’t Real

I worked on a Capstone USC Games project with a team of 35. Over the course of a year, we designed, created, and published the game Birds Aren’t Real. You can view & play the game on Steam. View our game on IGN.

Birds Aren’t Real is a 3D sandbox game with a comic twist. Based on the real-life satirical conspiracy theory, play as a government surveillance pigeon drone, using sneaky maneuvers & creative thinking to manipulate the citizens and dispel their suspicions about the government's avian task force. Think of it like a wacky combination of Hitman & Untitled Goose Game.

Fly around to explore and surveil your surroundings!
Sabotage the conspiracists working against your organization!
Deploy your poop in order to undermine your political detractors!

As lead game designer, I oversaw 3 designers and focused on content design. My work included building level designs in Unity, defining game design pillars & experience goals, establishing core game mechanics, and running routine playtests. I managed documentation, tasks for our systems/player teams, created slide decks, & collaborated with the other disciplines.

Nerd Ninjas

Hey there! I am currently waiting for approval to be able to showcase my work in this role. Please reach out if you would like more information, or check back later!

Equinox

This is a project I worked on at the student-run game Studio Open Alpha. The game is available on Steam, learn more on Open Alpha’s website. We’ve so far hit 39.172k licenses & 15.2k unique users!

Equinox is a whimsical, fantasy 2D platformer where you play as a bunny who must jump, dodge, dash, & defeat bosses in order to uncover more of the story tale and restore the moon.

Play as a small bunny who sets out to restore the night sky. Hop across procedurally generated terrain, search for mysterious moon shards, defeat small enemies, & fight corrupted constellations. Can you make it to the end and bring back the moon?

As a producer for a 30-member team, I ran standups, addressed team-wide pain points, managed documentation, and more. As the VP of Marketing, I created marketing assets, trailers, & managed the social media. I also helped out as an artist, creating assets for the game & editing videos.

Gameplay Demo & Trailer

Spooky Speakeasy

This is a project I worked on at the student-run game Studio Open Alpha. The game is available on Steam and Open Alpha’s website. We’ve so far hit 15.9k licenses & 4.5k unique users:)

Spooky Speakeasy is a 2D bartending simulator + narrative game where you play as a monster who has to concoct scary concoctions and make good conversation to keep your struggling bar afloat.

At Spooky Speakeasy, we’re all about making drinks and befriending monsters. That is until the Big Bad Corporation shuts you down for good. You’ve got one week left on the premises—one week to do as much good as you can. Use your sharp bartending wits to match colors & create creepy cocktails to your customers’ satisfaction, all while helping out your newfound friends by gaining friendship points. What will become of your bar?

I was the lead game designer for a design team of 12, successfully making an alpha release of a game from concept to completion in 4 months. I established the mechanics, aesthetics, objectives, levels, and other features of the game. I managed a production schedule/tasks, ran inclusive meetings, and created spreadsheets, flow charts, storyboards, and concept art.

  • Game Design, Level Design, Reward Systems, Storyboarding, Project Management

  • Unity, Git Hub, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Google Sheets

  • As my first game project, I learned a lot. I learned key game design concepts, running playtests, Unity basics, coding in Yarn, and writing effective documentation. I personally grew to be both assertive and caring in my leadership, managing scope, and understanding the importance of thoughtful decision-making. And of course, I learned many monster puns!
